#pinball enthusiasts: If I can only buy one game, and I want it to be a game that is endlessly fun for a VERY BAD PINBALL PLAYER, what game should I buy?
This is a decision for the REST OF MY LIFE. I want to be thoughtful and careful.

Want the Data East Star Wars Pinball Machine
It’s a ton of fun and has a lot replayability while being approachable for new players
That's where the pinball league meets
It was an oooold version where somehow they programmed a display in the board that if you accomplished some goals you would try to clear the 5x5 display by using your paddles. 1 moved you forward, the other rotated your "Pacman."
I’d love to do this with you.
I will fight dirty in the street to stand up to this opinion.

Is there a place where you can go play a bunch of pinball before making this decision?
Twilight Zone is one of the best, but very sought after, so a good/refurbished table will cost a lot.
Star Trek: TNG, Medieval Madness, Addam's Family, and Theater of Magic are all wonderful tables with lots of cool elements.
Godzilla 70th anniversary & Jaws are my current favs.
But also maybe one of your favorite fandom, like I’d like a 007 or LOTR’s one just because I like those.
Best pinball I ever played.
It will eat you 😉
They're all classic tables that you can have fun playing right away, while you get better and better at pinball. Then, when you get better you'll grow into them.
It's real. It's miserable. Check it out!
...but I'm probably gonna
It was a mixture of the spooks of Fantasy Horror and the high stakes fun of pinball, depicting the adventures of Jake and Amelia as they enter the mysterious Sorcerer’s Lair. Go for the Wizard Mode!
I've been cautioned though that there's a pattern to guessing the murderer which becomes obvious over time, so it might not be an enduring title.

There is so much depth to accomplish on that machine, but also an inexperienced player can flip the ball and _something cool will happen_
also you would need to be deep into the hobby to know where to get replacement parts when the company doesn't exist anymore
being good at pinball is not about being able to flip the ball harder, I'm not even sure what you're objecting to with the shot locations
I am not asking someone to walk up to a Godzilla configured for a tournament and go head to head with Escher Lefkoff
My grandfather had one in his basement. It is fun as hell and very "wild" table
Pictured: Same model, not the same machine that attacked dad.
When I lived in Aberdeen, Scotland a pub around the corner from me had a pinball game based on the movie 'Hook' with Dustin Hoffman as Hook.
"What do we have here?"
"I've lost my marbles!"
Good times!
80s/90s - Arabian Nights, Addams Family, Theatre of Magic, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, Scared Stiff, Whirlwind, Fathom
Last 20 years - Godzilla, Deadpool, Attack From Mars, Ghostbusters, Total Nuclear Annhilation
Definitely recommend.
The biggest complaint I have is that the layout is basic.
I agree it's a great machine.
I'm not convinced it's "the one" pinball machine though.
I'd pick Twilight Zone ahead of it.
As it's only a year or so old, it remains to be seen whether it will be an enduring favourite, in the way that Twilight Zone is.
I plan to buy one at some point.
It just never gets old
Classic.
Also consider supplementing the physical machine with a digital one, either full-sized or compact.
Both of these will help take the pressure off of making The Right Choice.
