I was in a store yesterday and a woman collapsed and hit her head on a shelf, cutting her head open. We stopped the bleeding while the clerk called 911. When the ambulance showed up, the woman didn’t want to go to the hospital at first bc she was worried about the cost. Picture unrelated.

USC 14.3 protects us from insurrectionists. Where are the Dems? They should be fighting for our constitutional rights. See Jessica Denson YouTube videos for more info.
Bluesky lies are almost as absurd as the old Twitter lies
Health equity USA?? Yeah nah they say
https://gofund.me/ca0253ea
That would probably be at least 4,000$.
Have someone take you the urgent care and get stitched up.
no wonder reading posts of muricans feels so bloody relieving
#NoMercyForTheGreedy
I finally went to the hospital 3 weeks later when I saw random bruising under the fracture.
It had already healed wrong.

Live your life in such a way that people will not cheer, propose toasts, compose celebratory memes, or high-five each other when you are gunned down on a public street.
Why literal first thought after realizing I didn't die, "this is gonna be fucking expensive"
Knowing it wasn't my fault, I knew it was financially
This is America.
Ambulance $0
IV treatment and medicine $110
I think it would have been free if I was a citizen, but my total was only $110. I felt like there was a catch before I left. It was great!
3 brain surgeries with TOP surgeons.
Innumerable scans, tests & consultations.
9 ambulance rides.
1 medical flight across state.
At least 6 long hospital stays.
ALL medications.
2 days in a private hospital ($5k).
TOTAL = $6k
Obviously, we aren't in USA.
🇦🇺
We also got NDIS funding for wheelchairs, bath lifts & powered lift armchair, electronics, monitors & work done on her home for hand rails, ramps etc.
NO insurance.
While Aust healthcare is better, so many disabled people can’t get on the NDIS, especially people with ME/CFS.
My mum bought me a mobility scooter although I’m rarely well enough to use it. There’s no support & no funding for me as I’m under 65.
my parents had to pay for a sick bed out of pocket cuz i cant sit without aid & had to eat lying down, and more recently a drinking aid was denied after i spent most of the summer dehydrated cuz i didnt have the strength to hold a water bottle 🥴
I’m sorry you need help to drink. I’ve had only moments of severity and it’s hell.
I guess comparison is an eye opener, eh?
The US systems seem to go out of their way to target and punish their most vulnerable.
Urgent care wouldnt help me and called an Ambulance to take me to the ER
EMT said it would cast me $3000 to go to the ER
I called a family member to drive me there instead and stood near receptionist at Urgent Care
The ambulance ride cost 15,000, the care in the ER cost 10,000, Brain MRI cost 5000$. You see, the hospital was out of network so everything cost more. The end
The system is insane.
I cannot wrap my head around not getting medical care.
You want to fix health care, confront your representatives and tell them to stop receiving lobby funds.
Then ask yourself why are there no laws preventing the insane increase to accessible healthcare? Even something as beautiful as child birth?
Oh wait, you’re serious
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jesus Christ you're a stupid bint.
where are you from, bud?

Finding a counterexample is just one simple Google search away, so it’s an interesting test of your intellectual honesty.
They do have private care you pay for, but they couldn't transport me any faster.
Two weeks later she was in Japan and needed more: $8.

I got sick while vacationing in Ireland and the doctor *apologized* for having to charge me something. It was less than my copays in the USA!
Americans have NO IDEA what we're missing.
because capitalism or 'murica or bootstraps or some shite
Legitimately, find a practicing physician, PA, NP, RN, paramedic or EMT that likes the system the way it is.
Spoiler: you won't find one
Yes, it is extreme but, that's the point. We've tried pushing gently but, those who value money over human life have fought against not-for-profit healthcare for decades.
Maybe this will wake them up.
But,number wondering:
Which do you find more disturbing, my complete lack of sympathy for Thompson or the, literally, thousands of people harmed as a direct result of his personal quest for more money?
As long as were clarifying, do you think murdering executives will reduce prices?
I’d still prefer the UK system to the US. We just need more govt funding.
Invoice them for several thousands of dollars for the service.
I've done the same to parking companies and debt collection companies in the UK and it has annoyed them away, albeit with smaller amounts.
Happy holidays
No-one should have to put their finances above their health.

Got a 2nd bill. Call Cigna. Explain. 3-way call with Ambulance Co. Cigna: yes, you are right, we will pay.

Another call to Cigna and 3-way call with collection agency. Yes, you are right we will pay.
Situation finally resolved. 10 months after the incident.

Pain got worse. Pain got unbearable.. Eventually my dad paid out of pocket for scan.
Turned out to be cancer. She passed away winter that year.
Insurance claim denial should never be a thing. If a doctor says you need something, you need it. We pay for a service, and they get to say no? Time for an uprising.
If a person is incapacitated or unable to consent to a service (like medical care), then they should not be required to pay for it.
Ergo, emergency services should be free.
I'm not saying healthcare isn't broken. I am saying it has been broken, and has stayed broken somehow getting worse this whole time.
Nice looking guy there.

People seemed determined not to understand Luigi's motives. Determined to keep the status quo. People are disgusted that so many of us support Luigi?
pffff
I am disgusted with those who do not get it!
Most civilized countries and quite a few not so civilized ones have figured that out by now, without threatening their sick and injured with absurdly high costs or bankruptcy.
later a friend who od’ed a bunch of times said take the fucking ambulance because you might not have a second chance. really wise words. rip
Medicare *may* pay $250 for EMS transport to an appointment during a hospital stay or for EMS transport home from the hospital if it is medically necessary. They may not.
Ambulette (wheelchair van) from nursing home to doc appointment, yes that’s pay out of pocket.
Make it make sense.
